  1. First, you will be given a health history form. This is to inform your therapist about any potential health risks.

  2. Your therapist will then explain to you any assessment that will be necessary. This could consist of a posture assessment, range of motion, or orthopedic tests. You will be shown clearly what you need to do.

  3. You and your therapist will then discuss what the assessment findings were and what type of treatment plan to procede with.

  4. Your therapist will ask you to get undressed and under the sheet. Your therapist will leave the room while you undress. It is your treatment so you may leave on, or take off, as much clothing as you feel comfortable with. Most clients leave their underwear on.

  5. When you are ready your therapist reenters the room, and begins the massage. Each massage is tailored to your individual needs. At all times during the massage, you will remain under the sheet with only the part of your body being worked on uncovered.

  6. At any time during the treatment or assessment, if you have a question or feel uncomfortable, you have the right to stop or alter the treatment. Your therapist will be glad to try answer any questions you might have.

  7. After the massage your therapist will give you instructions on how to get off the table and leave the room to allow you to get dressed.

  8. After you are dressed, you and your therapist may choose to talk about the massage and make another appointment.
